Banned Toyota Commercial: Three Day Weekend Premonition

This thing turns into a Toyota commercial at the end, but up to that point it graphically describes a wide range of booze fueled mishaps that weekend revelers risk if they make the mistake of getting out of bed. Or at least that’s how I interpret it.

NorCal Mountain Biking Championship: San Rafael Team Takes First

It’s kind of bizarre, but Marin County, the birthplace of mountain biking, is the one county in California where you definitely will not see an official NorCal mountain bike race. Trail use is just too politicized in Marin.
Consequently, races take place all over hell’s half acre in other counties. The 2008 state championships […]

A Crank Yankin’ Memorial Day Celebration: The S. F. Masturbate-a-thon

For those jaded with the same old beer ‘n’ barbeque Memorial Day weekend stuff, a much more hands-on celebration is available in the form of the San Francisco Masturbate-a-thon.
Join the hallowed festival of flagpole waxing–live or online!

Weekend Wallop: People & Stuff

The Bay Area’s 100 degree plus temperatures may not be back for the weekend, but it’s still holy sh*t hot. Things to do inside and out until the heat storm passes:

Practice for San Francisco’s 2008 Masturbate-a-Thon. Act now–the devil finds work for idle hands.
Download Vonkeil’s Queen vs. Madonna.
Stop whining about the heat and […]

Marriage: Towards New Forms of Punishment

As previously mentioned, the recent dissolution of my marriage after almost nineteen years left me with a variety of thoughts on the hoary institution.
There’s nothing quite like being flushed down the relationship toilet after almost two decades of loyal servitude, but why focus on the negative? Instead, why not look to the future […]

Tagged: The Misanthrope’s Malady

Much as I detest the practice of blog tagging, I try to be a good sport about it. So thanks a lot Filipina Soul–this outpouring is all your fault!
Seven random facts about me:

My Tarot birth cards are The Moon and The Hermit.
I’m recently divorced and live in a shack, where I pass out every […]

Apocalypse Coming to Bay Area?

It’s perhaps best not to strive too hard to seek connections between news developments whose only obvious common element is that they are happening at the same–conspiracy madness lies that way.
And so do I. So imagine, if you will, some strange deep concatenation among these recent Bay Area news items:

Report: Close S.F. Police […]
