Celebrity Soap-on-a-Rope: Vick, Lohan, Richie
The various judicial fates dealt to Michael Vick for animal abuse and Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie for drunk driving have prompted all manner of outcry about differential enforcement and inconsistent treatment.
Actually, the three punishments are identical in ultimate effect: all three will still be filthy rich when it’s over.
Some have said Vick’s potential jail system is the result of racism. Yet baseball player Pete Rose had his career destroyed just for gambling, while Vick has totally walked on that count–he says he didn’t profit from the dog fighting ring. Oh, sure.
Still, Vick’s barbarity was directed at animals, while Lohan and Richie could easily have killed human beings in the course of their drunk driving rampages. And these two ginches got sentences of one day and 82 minutes respectively.
In the final analysis, it’s hard to say which of the three is the most subhuman. Vick’s willingness to torture animals puts him on spectrum with serial killer at one end, for such individuals often start with animals.
Lohan and Richie have so little brains and empathy that their cranial voids place them on that very same spectrum.
Again, it grates that all three will ultimately be punished with wealth that puts them on a celebrity Olympus where there is no accountability. For these three, there really is no difference between dogs and the everyday humans eking out a miserable existence through conventional employment.
Meanwhile, a bunch of less glamorous Americans are getting shot at in Iraq.

I am so sick of hearing about Vick, Lohan, Richie, Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears, especially. My friends and Myself are sick of these spoiled little Brats. Get them off the airways etc. The common ordinary Person could care less what happens to them

I hate that Lindsay Lohan ois getting all of the press these days. People care about what is going on other than them, and me an my friends are all tired of hearing about her. It is very annoying that she is getting all of this press. It almost makes you stop and wonder… is she doing it for the press, or is it truly an addiction

i hate it when animals get hurt thats why im gonna try to do something about it cuz poeple like animals.
