Monthly Shakira Adulation: Brief Respite from Gadflying
Once again, I’m going against my normally misanthropic grain to placate the hordes of Shakira fans who continue to visit this site.
To quote a line of unknown provenance, I generally don’t put women on a pedestal except to look up their dresses, but I’d actually be ashamed to ogle the much- loved worshipped Shakira, who seems to have none of the grotesque traits exhibited by many of her American counterparts.
In fact she recently turned down a movie role involving nudity, so she passed on getting paid for something that B-Spears does for free every time she drops a roach clip.
So hopefully Shakira won’t totally screw everything up by unexpectedly going on some kind of criminal rampage, DUI derby, or underwear tossing spree.
