Social Networking: the new STD?
How many social networking stories have popped since the sun came up this morning? The most recent and most ching-a-ling-a-licious is NBC’s purchase of Tribe.net, possibly for as much as $50 mil.
Where is it all going? Meditate on the other social networking stories covered earlier this a.m. in our Friday Talk of the Town:
No offense to the man in the Aladdin pants, but when MC Hammer gets in on the act, maybe it’s time to get out. Not that NBC ever failed to gauge a trend. So let’s play devil’s advocate for a moment and light up the crossroads. Whither social networking: personal networking nirvana, or internet Black Hole of Calcutta?
